As they were chastising her, another prominent tennis figure came to her defense and made a sparkling prediction about her comeback.

Rick Macci is the childhood coach of Serena Williams and Venus Williams. He has also trained Jennifer Capriati, Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova. Being a coach of such calibre, people will heed whatever Macci has to say about any player. 

Naomi Osaka hits back with all her power

As she has been absent from the tour once again, Osaka has become the focus of haters once more. Her announcement of pregnancy in January meant that she would not be playing for most of this season. However, many did not care about the reasons and launched into a criticism of the 25-year-old. This is nothing new for Osaka, as she has faced such a situation several times. 

She fired back at the hate comments and said that people should divert their focus on other athletes who are worse off than her. “Btw to the people that are suddenly concerned about my career- There are plenty of male athletes with kids that are significantly less accomplished, you might wanna worry about them instead. Thanks for the concern, might wanna redirect it to someone that needs it though 😬.”

Her reply saw support from her followers and fans in general. Prominent tennis figures also came to support Osaka. Rick Macci tweeted his own thoughts about how the four-time grand slam champions career would proceed. 

Macci said, “Naomi Osaka next year will 100% skyrocket back into the top ten. You do not lose the talent the laser groundies or that explosive serve to play right thru the field. Fitness and overall confidence takes time but with Four Slams in her back pocket she has been there done that“.
