Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina tied the knot yesterday in Geneva after announcing their engagement earlier in April. The wedding reception was a rocking party for the couple as well as guests, where Monfils even showed his dancing skills.

Gael and Elina have been the power couple in tennis for the past two years. Earlier in the year, they’d dropped some dismaying news of their parting of ways; however, the couple was back together within two months of the former announcement.

Gael Monfils shows off his dancing skills during the reception party
Monfils and Svitolina had to get married, as their fans supported their relationship in every possible way. However, the French tennis player got his dancing shoes on during the reception party, as his friend joined him as well.
The player looked to be in a state of ecstasy after taking off his blazer and grooving to the beats. He showed hints of Michael Jackson in his moves before he started jumping out of excitement. It was probably the after-effects of the “I do”, as the couple had officially become Mr. and Mrs. Monfils.

What is next for Monfils and Svitolina?
While the summer of 2021 has been one of milestones in their personal lives, Monfils and Svitolina haven’t had the best of times on the tennis courts. Monfils and Svitolina both crashed out of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships in the second round of their respective categories. Monfils fought during his game, however, Svitolina looked weak against Magda Linette.
Gael Monfils has pulled out of the Tokyo Olympic Games, reasons unknown. The Frenchman had revealed a long time ago about his Olympic withdrawal. On the other hand, Svitolina is going to be participating at the Olympic Games.
Elina and Gael have a joint Instagram account, G.E.M.S. where they post cute pictures and videos. The tennis sweethearts stopped posting on that account after their separation for two months. However, love overcame all barriers and prevailed as a winner in their situation.
