Frances Tiafoe has been gearing up for the Wimbledon Championships. It will be somewhat different for the American on the grass courts of Wimbledon, as he will be wearing the shoes of Naomi Osaka.

He took to his Instagram story to make an announcement about representing the special set of footwear. Moreover, he gave a shout out to her while also buzzing for the tournament.

Frances Tiafoe took to his Instagram story to flaunt Naomi Osaka’s shoes. He showed her shoes while preparing for the upcoming Wimbledon. He said, “Super pumped to start wearing Naomi Osaka’s shoe. Gonna start rocking it, come Wimbledon. She is my home girl. Show her love and I can’t wait to start rocking it.”

Frances Tiafoe has been gearing up for the grass season after a disappointing clay-court season. In the French open, the player could not get past the initial rounds both in singles and doubles.

Naomi Osaka in 2022

Naomi Osaka did not have a great start to the year. Although she reached the final of the Miami Open, she eventually lost to the current world no. 1, Iga Swiatek.

At the French Open, Osaka did not get through the initial stages, completing a disappointing clay-court season for the 4-time Grand Slam champion.

The Wimbledon Championships recently announced Naomi Osaka on the entry list. This came as a surprise, as the Japanese player had not been sure about her participation in the grass-court major. Osaka, along with several others, are still pondering their decision after WTA and ATP stripped ranking points from Wimbledon.
