Making friends can be hard for a person when they have to roam around the world constantly as part of their job. However, people in similar professions end up getting together and forming a close-knit group. We can say a similar thing about colleagues in American tennis. With the Dallas Open commencing, Blair Henley asked several WTA members from the USA about their colleagues. Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys were among those who were interviewed, and they shared their opinions about their colleagues.

Madison Keys and Sloane Stephens open up about the hilarious nicknames of their colleagues

Madison Keys and Sloane Stephens recently interviewed with Dallas Open. Blair Henley, the host of the interview, asked them how they perceive their ATP colleagues. Although all the answers were hilarious, Keys’ recount of her conversation with Frances Tiafoe made her and Stephens laugh.

Keys said that Tiafoe called her OG, which she interprets as old. He further asked her old she was, and her reply was 27. Tiafoe was perplexed and said that he thought Keys had been playing for over 40 years.

Yo. You know what he said to me in Sydney?” she told Stephens, who was sitting next to her. “Now, now he calls me OG, and I’m like, I know what you mean by that. You just mean I’m old. Like, that’s your nice way of calling me old. But he goes, ‘How old are you?’ ‘I’m 27, and I turn 28 in February.’ And he’s like, ‘Man, I literally feel like you’ve been around for like 40 years“.

They were also asked about other players and gave similar hilarious replies to them. Keys told Tiafoe’s nickname for Denis Kudla, “Bald Head Kudla“. Stephens, when asked about Christopher Eubanks, first scoffed jokingly and said, “Don’t even get me started on that giraffe“. She further said, “Jesus, we love Chris, we love Daddy Long Legs“.
