After their on-again, off-again romance, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas are ready to call the shots on the court. As the couple got together just ahead of the French Open, the Greek tennis player announced that they would be playing the mixed doubles together. The tennis star from Spain, who just disclosed the motive behind their partnership, is equally enthusiastic.

Recently, a popular tennis journalist who shared this update on social media emphasized the reason why the 26-year-old tennis player has chosen to play mixed double with her boyfriend. He shared Badosa’s words, and according to the Spanish tennis player, “He will work for me so I don’t have to run much. It’s good to practice”.

Looking into the tennis journalist’s post, even the 26-year-old tennis star commented with a lighthearted reaction. She wrote, “Hahahahaha” followed by a series of laughing-out-loud emojis. The second-ranked WTA tennis player was also questioned about her “comeback with Stefanos” at a pre-tournament news conference.  She said, “Well, he already said everything. It’s pretty clear. The relationship is working very well now. He already explained. I have nothing else to say.”

As Badosa and Tsitsipas take on Ena Shibahara and Nathaniel Lammons in their first-round mixed doubles encounter at Roland Garros, their bond is now being tested on the tennis court. On the other hand, both of them collaborated to play together at the Eisenhower Cup exhibition earlier this year at Indian Wells.

The main query, though, is what motivated the two tennis players to decide to team up and resume their connection on the court. A few days ago, the couple came forward to talk about how they had decided to stay on the same page, prioritizing their professional careers for now.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are back in each other’s corner!

Early this month, it appeared that things had come to an end when Badosa sent a message on social media. The couple was spotted together in Monte Carlo, so it appeared that their break was only brief. Tsitsipas also stated that they had made up during his pre-tournament news conference at Roland Garros.

The Australian Open finalist said, “I feel that she is my person and we understand each other; that puts more value in everything I do and I want her by my side as often as possible. So yes, we’ve reconnected and we’re in a good moment.” On the other hand, Badosa said, “I think one of the things that I didn’t like or we didn’t like is that it was very public, so now we want to keep things a little bit more on our own.”

Nevertheless, as the couple is back together, it will be interesting to see them enjoying the little moments and ruling the court together. However, what are your thoughts on the mixed doubles participation? Do let us know in the comment section.
