When the American tennis star started playing tennis at a young age, he joined Rick Macci’s tennis academy. There, he met another fellow tennis player who was getting ready to become a tennis player, Brian Rosenthal. He was among the top 10 junior players in Florida. Rosenthal said, “So what I loved about Roddick’s path is that he didn’t even have to do anything. He could have been a great college player, a great junior player, and probably fell into the family business and so forth. But he would run through fences. He would go crazy when he lost in anything in life.”

Well, the rest is history; even today, the 40-year-old American tennis star is famous for his rivalry with Roger Federer and his on-court achievements. Not only that, but Serena Williams‘ fellow trainee also talked about Roddick’s dedication to always improving and being better than everyone.
