We are one match away from wrapping up the 2023 clay season. The French Open has undoubtedly featured some of the finest women’s and men’s singles matchups this year. Like Aryna Sabalenka and Karolina Muchova’s semifinal match, as well as Francisco Cerundolo and Holger Rune’s match in the fourth round. Both captivated the tennis audience and had them glued to their seats. However, Serena Williams‘ former coach, Rennae Stubbs, has recently stirred up an uproar by claiming that women’s tennis is better than men’s tennis.
She cited Roger Federer‘s ‘choking’ loss in the Wimbledon 2019 final in order to silence mansplaining criticism in her own unique style.

Serena Williams’ former coach claims women’s tennis is better than men’s
This year’s Roland Garros has been marred by controversies over certain significant distinctions between men’s and women’s tennis. Iga Swiatek debunked the interest shown in the ATP Tour by pointing out that women’s tennis is more consistent than men’s. And now Stubbs provided pertinent examples of how women’s tennis at this year’s French Open was better than men’s tennis.
The Australian tennis coach recently took to Twitter to express her belief that the women’s final and semi-final matchups were far better than the men’s semifinal matches between the top two ATP Tennis stars, Casper Ruud and Alexander Zverev.
Don’t tell me women’s tennis boring! The semis were better and now this final is fantastic! Yes the 2nd set of Alcaraz Joker was amazing but the match was blah and the Rudd Zverev match was BLAHHH . Thank goodness for the ladies!

In response to Stubbs’ remark, Nick Kyrgios shot back with a snarky reply and a laughing emoji. The Australian tennis star wouldn’t concede and referenced Federer’s heartbreaking Wimbledon defeat in 2019 to make her case. In between that, a fan talked about a loophole bringing up a choking moment that happened in the women’s final yesterday.
In reply, she wrote, “Wow u seem like a nice fella. clearly don’t watch a lot of tennis. I’ll be sure to tell Federer that as he’s about to serve up 40-15 in grass to win Wimbledon. He’ll get it done this time knowing men don’t choke 😂! I’ll tell Zverev too. I’m sure he’ll be ok at the us open final.”

Have u ever played at a high level?? He choked the forehand at 40-15 and he played a VERY average approach shot to the worst place to win the point. I could list 100 choked mean matches. Just stop your mansplaining!

But the conversation didn’t end there, she wrote, “Have u ever played at a high level?? He choked the forehand at 40-15 and he played a VERY average approach shot to the worst place to win the point. I could list 100 choked mean matches. Just stop your mansplaining!”
Fans of the Swiss ace will never forget the uproar at Wimbledon 2019 when Federer appeared to be on the verge of winning his 21st Grand Slam title. However, he wasted two championship points in the fifth set, and allowed Djokovic to regain momentum and win the Wimbledon Championships.
