Aren’t marriages similar to tennis matches? The partners give it their all and play the game continuously until it is over. Sometimes the match ends quickly, and other times you keep battling for the same thing repeatedly, just like in a five-set match. Marriages are the same way; some barely make it past the first year, while others endure a lifetime. Who better to comprehend this than Chris Evert, a legendary American tennis player?

The 18-time Grand Slam winner has seen a number of marital setbacks but has excelled on the tennis court. Although she has achieved great success as a WTA star in the tennis world, she has also come under fire for having three unsuccessful marriages. Even after spending so many years alone, Chris Evert came under scrutiny from tennis referee Andrew Jarrett for her marital choices while drawing a Grand Slam connection.

But even after so many years of putting a pause on the 68-year-old tennis star’s marital choices, Andrew Jarrett, a former tennis player, recently took a cheese dig out of nowhere. He mocked her personal choices at their worst. In a recent interview with the Telegraph, the 65-year-old tennis referee made a comment on the former world number one tennis star’s personal life choices.

Ex-Wimbledon Referee said, “A wonderful player. She first married English tennis player John Lloyd, then later American Olympic skier Andy Mill, and then Australian golfer Greg Norman. I just hope she can marry a Frenchman one day, and, if she does, will she be the first to complete a marital grand slam?”
