Do you ever wonder what the tennis pros eat while they are in the US for the final Grand Slam event of the year? Just like the way the ATP world number one, Carlos Alcaraz, enjoys having candies during his time in the US, the WTA world number one, Iga Swiatek, has her own different food preference.
The 22-year-old tennis sensation is currently getting ready for the US Open after facing a semi-final defeat at the Cincinnati Masters. And after saying bye to the bland tournament food, she recently disclosed her go-to food place that she likes to enjoy during her American swing.

Iga Swiatek reveals her go-to food place in the US
After sweating it out on the tennis court, everyone deserves an amazing meal. The four-time Grand Slam champion is no exception, as she likes to treat herself to her favorite food. After suffering a defeat against Coco Gauff in the Western and Southern Open semi-finals, in the post-match press conference, Swiatek was asked about her favorite non-tournament food that she looks forward to during her time in the US.

She said, “Non-tournament food? Well, P. F. Chang’s today. I already ordered. We got to hurry, actually. I don’t know. Like maybe a good steak. You have to ask Jules because he’s actually kind of making the dinner. But maybe, like, seafood and lobster, because this is something good you shouldn’t risk eating during the tournament.”
P. F. Chang is a popular Chinese dining restaurant that serves Asian fusion cuisine. Apart from that, she also revealed how she enjoys seafood dishes and lobsters, which are not quite common in Poland.
However, this is not the first time she has treated herself after a tournament. Regardless of whether she wins or loses, she always likes to enjoy the tournament’s conclusion by treating herself to some good food. Just like last year, after winning the Miami Open, the 2022 US Open champion spoiled herself with a delicious meal.

When Swiatek enjoyed a cheesy delight
Last year, the four-time Grand Slam champion took to her Instagram account to share a video of treating herself to Italian cuisine. The current world number one, after putting her food choices on hold to eat healthy during the tournament, gave herself a break while she enjoyed a full pizza as a treat.
