He said, “It’s complicated for them. If I was the CEO of the ATP or the President, I would be stuck. They are in a complicated situation because they can’t disappoint the traditional fans, which is a lot of people around the world. They can’t take the risk to disappoint them and those people are very, very conservative and they don’t want change.”
Further, Mouratoglou also opened up about how the ATP and WTA can’t take the risk of upsetting their traditional fan base, but at the same time, they have to manage the traditional league and a modern league side by side to build a better sports structure for the next century.
Along with that, as someone who started the ultimate tennis showdown, Mouratoglou also extended his support to walk hand in hand with the ATP in order to create a better future for tennis. However, let’s take a look at how the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s ex-coach took the first step to modernizing tennis as he curated a whole new experience.

The idea behind Mouratoglou’s Ultimate Tennis Showdown
Not many rules about tennis have been altered since the 80s. However, Williams’ former coach, launched his own tournament to bring about change in the arena. It appears that the UTS uses its own system, known as the UTS Race Ranking System, and does not adhere to the ATP ranking system.
There are three regular events: one in the United States in July, one in Europe in September, and one in Asia/the Middle East in November/December. Following that, the rankings are updated in accordance with the wins attained in these competitions.
