Martina Navratilova took to her Twitter to comment on the expensive tickets’ prices. Moreover, she did not even shy away from making comparisons of the tickets with those of pop stars’ concert tickets.

She stated, “Wow… very pricey. I would rather see Pink, Annie Lennox, Beyoncé, Mary J Blige, Adele etc…” She took a dig at the Laver Cup for exorbitant prices on the tickets.

Why are Laver Cup tickets so expensive?

Roger Federer’s management firm, Team 8, organizes the Laver Cup. The Championship have always had more expensive tickets as compared to other tours. This is because the concept of the whole tour is different where Team Europe is against Team World and fans are always super enthusiastic to see the matches.

Other than that, Laver Cup issues floor seats which the other tours don’t. So, it is a rare opportunity for the fans to interact with their idols. Moreover, this year is extra special for Federer fans.

Roger Federer will make a comeback at the Laver Cup this year, which will be his first tour after his withdrawal from last year’s Wimbledon. After that, the player has undergone knee surgery and is focusing on making a complete recovery.
