WTA Finals was no less than a disappointment for the players and the spectators as well. The lack of preparation and responsibility that was shown by the authorities at the WTA was unacceptable, given that the courts were not ready in time and they were not protected from the weather conditions as well. This not only made the female players at the facility feel disrespected but also did not allow them time to practice on the actual courts beforehand.
And now Novak Djokovic’s organization, The Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) has launched an official warning against the WTA authorities. This warning has not only garnered support from the top-seeded players like Iga Swiatek but also former world number one player, Boris Becker from Germany.

She said, “We feel like we’re beating our heads against the wall. It’s supposed to be an organization of women’s players but we have nothing to say. It took us some time to gather into one group and take joint action.”
After the post went viral and garnered attention, former world number 1, Boris Becker reposted this on his Instagram story and also wrote a caption along with it for Iga Swiatek. He said, “Good/ Strong words from the champion.”
