Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko recently ventured beyond the ordinary, igniting intrigue with their unconventional escapades. While the young married couple is in Rome for a tennis event, they recently spent time recreating an iconic photo of Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck from a movie.

Not to mention, with the aid of ATP, the pair replicated a scenario from none other than the renowned movie Roman Holiday. They not only had a fantastic photo shoot, but they also spoke about the incredible experience at the same time.

Recently, the X handle of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome shared a video of how they asked the young tennis couple to recreate a movie scene together. While the 23-year-old WTA star was quite excited, she said, “It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. I was really excited [to be] doing this.”

On the other hand, her husband highlighted how he is not into photoshoots, but this particular one was something that he enjoyed a lot. He stated, “It’s actually a nice style, it’s an elegant style. Also, I love the style of my wife. It was great, everything.”

In the video, both of them created the iconic bike scene from Roman Holiday, with the WTA star riding the bike in style. Along with that, the Russian-Kazakhstan tennis player was seen sitting behind her and posing. The timeless romantic comedy premiered at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on August 27, 1953, and continues to enchant audiences with its enduring charm decades later.

Produced and helmed by the renowned William Wyler, the movie presents two iconic actors: Audrey Hepburn, in her first cinematic role, as a charming but unhappy princess who longs for a little freedom among the splendor of Rome, and Gregory Peck, as a determined reporter desperate to break a big story.

As both of them are currently in Rome to play in the Italian Open, Shevchenko will take on Hungarian Fabian Marozsan. In the meantime, Potapova is getting ready for what should be an exciting matchup with Wang Xiyu. The couple got married by the end of last year, while the WTA Russian tennis player was doing quite well on the tennis court. Even though the couple prefers to maintain privacy about their personal life, earlier this year, Potapova opened up about her life with the ATP player and how she fell in love with him in the first place.

Potapova has known Shevchenko since they were nine!

Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko sowed the seeds of their friendship at the youthful age of nine. At first, they were only acquaintances who rarely spoke to one another. This led to a deep bond as they realized how natural it was to converse together. Potapova stated, “I’ve known him since we were nine years old, but we never spent time together, hung out, or even spoke much. It was like we were always so close to each other but also so far away!”

The pair announced their engagement on Instagram in September, sharing their whirlwind romance and dedication. In a closed ceremony that signaled the start of their journey as husband and wife, they exchanged vows just two months later in the pristine splendor of Russia. Potapova offered insight into their distinct viewpoint as athletes, stressing the maturity that comes with devoting oneself to athletics, as she thought back on their choice to marry young.
