Finally, her hard work over the years has paid off. Even after retirement, the 23-time Grand Slam champion is still among the highest-paid athletes in the world. This alone is a significant accomplishment for the tennis star. Last year too, the 41-year-old tennis player was among the six tennis stars who made it to the Forbes highest-paid athletes list.

The Sportico highest-paid athletes list is out. And it is definitely clear proof of the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s legacy as she stands strong amidst some well-known athletes like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. Additionally, some huge tennis giants have made it to the highest-paid athletes list.

The likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, were among the highest-paid athletes from the realm of tennis. And the only female athlete listed in the top 50 is the former world number one, Serena Williams.

At the 38th position, her assets are valued at $600 million. After her retirement from this sport, she earned most of her income from various endorsement and sponsorship deals. However, her earnings from her company, Serena Ventures, are not included in the estimate. Moving on, let’s have a look at the other tennis giants who made the list.

Tennis players included in the list 

The first tennis player to appear in the top 10 is the 20-time Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer, securing  the 9th position. And with all his endorsements and sponsorships, his total assets were estimated at around 1.8 billion dollars. Followed by the Spaniard, Rafael Nadal at the 28th position in the ranking with around $660 million valuation. And the best part is that Nadal is still active on the tennis court.

After Williams, there are two tennis players from the ATP world. Andre Agassi, the former tennis star has secured the 40th position, and the current world number one, Novak Djokovic has bagged the 41st position.

The former American tennis legend Agassi who retired almost a decade ago from the sport had earnings of 590 million dollars. And for Djoker, it’s nearly 575 million dollars.
