The 46-year-old tennis veteran allegedly violated the sponsorship laws “by taking payment for providing a voiceover for a gaming company’s promotional content.”

Serena Williams’ former coach expresses her views on the Australian tennis veteran’s suspension
The 52-year-old has never held herself back from using her online platform in order to shed light on various matters in the tennis community. It was quite evident in her recent Tweet, in which Rennae Stubbs candidly opened up about the hefty fine and suspension imposed on her compatriot.
On Twitter, Serena Williams’ former coach recently came across the strict decision taken by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). While reacting to the news, the legendary Australian tennis coach expressed her bafflement in the comments section. She said, “what the hell! I mean really?? what a joke!”

Her compatriot, Mark Philippoussis, on the other hand, hasn’t contested the drastic decision taken by the tennis authorities. According to the reports, the 46-year-old tennis veteran has fully cooperated with the investigation of the violation of the betting sponsorship laws.

Stubbs previously commented on the Madrid Open controversy
After receiving the runners-up trophy at the Madrid Open, the American tennis prodigy, Coco Gauff was not given the opportunity to share the stage for the customary speech. However, it was not the same case with her male counterparts, who were allowed to deliver speeches and click pictures after receiving their respective runners-up trophies.
Taking note of the same, the Australian coach, Stubbs deemed it as a huge disparity in the tennis circuit. On her Twitter account, she lashed out at the organizers for “blatantly ignoring” the WTA players after their doubles finals match of the tournament. She also expressed her bafflement at the discrimination by saying, “No photo, no speech?”
