Kalinskaya recently sat down with the Match Point Canada team and poured her heart out, over her tennis connections. Along with that, in the same interview, she also talked about various tennis players she has watched on television while growing up, keeping a tennis dream in her mind.

She stated, “I never had one person who I wanted to be like, but I used to watch a lot of Nadal, I used to watch a lot of Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin and, yeah, but I just want to, always wanted to be myself and just loved watching a couple of players.”

Even though she followed Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin, and ATP legend, Rafael Nadal, she always knew that she wanted to create a path for herself. However, when it comes to her boyfriend, Sinner has a totally different role model – Roger Federer.

He stated, “My role model has always been Federer, not only for his class but for the way he presents himself: the important thing is to surround yourself with the best people and face everything with a smile.” Sinner said that Federer has always been a role model for him, not just because of his incredible accomplishments on the court but also because of his cool-headedness and composure.

But while veterans may have held a childhood charm for her, in the present day, Kalinskaya is her boyfriend’s no. 1 fan!
