‘No Holding You Back’ – Aryna Sabalenka’s Australian Open Crown Earns Heaps of Praise From Tennis Pros

The world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka has lifted her first grand slam of the 2024 tournament season after defeating Qinwen Zheng in the finals. This marks her second grand slam title overall in her career. Not just that this is also the back-to-back win of her career in a grand slam in the Australian Open.

No other player in the last decade has done what Sabalenka has achieved so far. Only Victoria Azarenka did it 11 years ago. Since this is a very special win, tennis professional players cannot stop congratulating the Australian Open 2024 winner on her tremendous win.

One of the first reactions that came was from the former record holder herself Victoria Azarenka.

She posted on her official X account, “Bravo Aryna Sabalenka. Just amazing! Congratulations. So fully deserved.” Of course, best wishes coming from her are a huge deal.

Another comment came from Stefanos Tsitsipas who is a friend to Sabalenka. He wrote on his official Instagram story, “Bravo Champ”. All the players wanted to congratulate Sabalenka on her win and the list just kept going on.

Rod Laver, the player on whose name the court in Melbourne is named also posted for Sabalenka’s win at the Australian Open. He wrote, “Once you’ve tasted major success it’s hard to stop. Congratulations on a second AO title Aryna Sabalenka, no holding you back. Rocket.” Laver is sure that more things are waiting for Sabalenka for the upcoming grand slams.

Ons Jabeur also congratulated Sabalenka. She added, “Sabalenka congrats to you and your team.” Even though she did not get very far in the tournament, she made sure to congratulate her for her amazing win.

Another former tennis star Ana Schweinsteiger also posted on Sabalenka’s success. She wrote, “Pure dominance by Aryna Sabalenka. Congratulations on defending your title in Melbourne. Strong performance throughout the tournament physically and mentally.

Even though everyone around was appreciative of her, Sabalenka only had her team to thank for. In one of her interviews, she mentioned how if it were not for her team, she would be alone.

Sabalenka thanks her team for their constant support and work through this win

In one of her recent interviews, Aryna Sabalenka added that it was her team who helped her overcome the loss she faced last year and work on her fallbacks to make sure the same things don’t happen again. She also said, “We always do a lot of crazy stuff with the team. It’s helped me to stay focused on the court. You know, because there’s enough pressure on the court, and off the court, we’re just trying to keep it simple, keep it fun, and make sure that all of us enjoy the process.

Aryna Sabalenka also added that she tries to keep her on-court and off-court personalities different because if she were the same person, her team would not be here and she would be alone.
