Roger Federer is redefining fashion with his RF line and making waves as a sunglasses designer in his post-retirement journey. A little over a year ago, he teamed up with the iconic American sunglasses brand Oliver Peoples, and the collaboration has proven to be a game-changer. Recently, former tennis star Andrea Petkovic was spotted trying on a pair of these stylish frames, highlighting the growing popularity of the $63 million brand.

Further, she shared another picture of herself in sunglasses, standing in a beautiful background, as she wrote, “nature.” Wearing sunglasses by Oliver Peoples, Petkovic personifies the spirit of Federer’s brand, demonstrating that his influence reaches well beyond his sporting accomplishments and resonates in the domains of fashion and self-expression.

Earlier this year, in an interview with GQ, Roger Federer described the collaboration as a blend of sporty athleisure, and an instant classic. He also made a lighthearted allusion to Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible II sunglasses to highlight the way Oliver Peoples’ sunglasses combine practicality with a dash of Hollywood flare.

Federer elaborated on the practicality of his sunglasses, saying, “I am always on the go with my four children. These frames have to be solid around the head, and not fall off with, you know, the first flick of the neck.” Oliver Peoples’ parent business, Essilor Luxottica, and the legendary Swiss tennis player came to a licensing agreement for the sunglasses in March this year.

As the Swiss maestro creates waves in the eyewear sector with his successful collaboration with Oliver Peoples, Venus Williams is following closely behind. Last year, she launched her own collection of eyeglasses with Lacoste.

Venus caught eyeballs last year when she collaborated with Lacoste and unveiled her gorgeous cat-eye sunglasses featuring the recognizable brand’s emblem. The sunglasses were well-known very quickly, particularly after a promotional video of Venus showing off her fashionable spectacles went viral and attracted the interest of both tennis fans and fashionistas.

Venus joined Lacoste to exhibit an amazing range of dresses, coats, shirts, bras, and accessories in addition to promoting the brand’s eyewear. Her love of fashion is not new, and her partnership with Lacoste is an evidence of her dedication to providing stylish yet practical clothing for busy people.

On the other hand, as Federer continues to innovate and expand his brand with Oliver Peoples, he proves that his influence extends far beyond the tennis court, inspiring others to embrace a seamless blend of functionality and fashion.
