In a recent Sky Sports Tennis podcast episode, she was commonly mentioned by both, Marion Bartoli and Laura Robson when asked about their choice of having a dinner party with former tennis professionals.

First, Laura Robson, a former British tennis player, shared her take on how she would like the 23-time Grand Slam champion at her dinner party, along with inviting Steffi Graf and other ATP stars.

She stated, “Serena for obvious reasons. And Steffi Graf, cause she was my absolute hero. When I first picked up a racquet I was almost named Steffi, my mum was watching the match. I think it was an Aussie Open final in the hospital when she was giving birth to me. And then men side, I’m going Marat Safin because he was my first crush, and I feel like he’d have a lot of good stories.”

When the same question was asked of the one-time Grand Slam champion, Marion Bartoli also chose Williams among the other names she would like to have a dinner party with. She stated, “Serena 100%. That is so difficult for me because I have a lot of friends past and current players. But if I had to choose one I would go with Monica Seles because she was my absolute hero when I grew up. I was having Aroha outfits. Same racket same everything.” While she kept Serena and Djokovic on the list, both of them kept Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal out of the discussion.
