After beating Anett Kontaveit in the quarter-finals of Indian Wells, Ons Jabeur made history. She became the first male or female tennis player to enter the top 10 rankings. Coming from a small land like Tunisia, she has certainly made herself and her country proud. Following this milestone, many tennis players congratulated Jabeur.
Some of the finest players on the ATP tour like Gael Monfils, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, and many more praised Ons Jabeur with overwhelming comments.

ATP players congratulated Ons Jabeur
Just a few weeks ago, the Tunisian Ons Jabeur recorded a historical achievement for her country. She became the first Arab woman to reach the WTA top 10 rankings. She reached this milestone by defeating Kontaveit at Indian Wells. Soon after, many ATP players complimented this extraordinary accomplishment by Jabeur.
The Canadian, Felix Auger-Aliassime said, “ Congratulations for making the top 10. I’m really proud of you.” The World No. 8, Casper Ruud quoted, ” Congratulations on making the top 10 debut. Being from the small country myself, when it comes to tennis, I know how exciting it must feel. I hope you have a great season next year also.”

Hubert Hurkacz also came up to wish Jabeur by saying, ” Congrats Ons for amazing achievement for being top 10.” The Argentinian Diego Schwartzman also extended his wishes. He said, ” Congratulations! I hope you continue like this. I like your game, you have very tweaky shots. I’m very happy to see you there.”
Lastly, Grigor Dimitrov stated, ” Hi Ons Jabeur! Just wanted to say how happy I’m to see you breaking into new grounds and such a milestone for you and your country. You should be proud. Big congratulations to you, keep on going. A lot of respect for you.”
Surely, Jabeur will be overwhelmed with the love and support she has received from the finest players on the tour.

Jabeur to miss WTA finals
Unfortunately, Ons Jabeur has announced that she won’t be competing in the WTA Finals in Mexico. She took Twitter to share this sad news.
I am sorry to announce that I won't be able to go to Guadalajara as an alternate. I need more time to recover and prepare for next season.
