Every tennis fan knows that Frances Tiafoe, a 25-year-old tennis player, is a fantastic rising tennis player. But did you know that he has a humorous side that he loves to show his loved ones, both on and off the tennis court? Yes, the young American tennis player maintains close ties with other tennis players on the tour.

And lately, his compatriot, Madison Key, revealed a brief anecdote about their bond, including a jest about how the 25-year-old enjoys calling her “mom.”*, thus providing a sneak peek into his fun side.

Both tennis players are now competing in the French Open. Recently, at a press conference, after the 28-year-old Key defeated Kaia Kanepi in the first round, she spoke about how her fellow American tennis player occasionally likes to tease her,

Despite their narrow age gap, the ATP star likes to make her feel older by amusingly reminding her of how he used to watch her on TV. She said, “Yeah. Usually, it’s “mom.” I always remind him that I’m not that much older than him, but he’ll always say things like, Oh, I remember watching you on TV when I was a kid. I’m, like, I’m not that much older than you.”

But the WTA tennis star went on to say that she finds it humorous and always jokingly reminds Tiafoe that he will someday feel the same way.

The fans got to know about the running joke of Key being “old”  when she, three months ago, recounted how the 25-year-old tennis player called her an “OG”.  And emphasized the fact that, despite knowing her real age, Tiafoe genuinely believed that she had been playing tennis for almost 40 years. Moreover, their amazing bond grew stronger during the United Cup last year.

After witnessing her incredible run, Tiafoe posted a video of her on his Instagram account. And made a huge fan appeal, saying he had always wanted her autograph.
