While the gap between the French Open and Wimbledon is not long, there are many tournaments held in the few weeks. Most events in between are 500, 250 or challenger events. Many of the events held are on grass courts to prepare players for the following grass major. Katie Boulter, world number 77, recently won a 250 event. In a celebratory post, she was lauded by her fans along with her boyfriend, Alex De Minaur, who wished her with a cheeky comment.  

The comment he left on her post was not the only way in which De Minaur celebrated his girlfriend’s victory. Along with his comment, he also shared a picture of his girlfriend with the trophy on his Instagram story along with a heartfelt caption.

De Minaur and Boulter began dating in 2021. Ever since then, the two have shared several details about their relationship online. Recently, Boulter won the Nottingham Open after five matches. She demolished the competition without dropping a set to win her maiden WTA title. She earned 250 points for her victory.  

As she lifted the trophy, Boulter shared her victory post on Instagram. She shared five pictures with the caption, “This little girls dream came true today 🥰 Maiden WTA in my home tournament 🥹♥️ It takes a team. Grateful for these people in my life. Thanks for all the support 🫶🏼.“

Proud of his girlfriend, De Minaur went ahead to congratulate her for her triumph. However, he couldn’t help but find a way to leave a comment to poke her. He wrote, “Not too sure what’s more impressive the title or the biceps 🤷‍♂️😱😍.“

As Boulter lifted the Nottingham Open trophy, De Minaur was over the moon as it was her first WTA title. Celebrations followed the final as he shared a picture of her, on his Instagram story, with a heartfelt caption calling her his idol. The two are quite active on social media and keep supporting each other in every way they can.

Boulter is en route to play the Birmingham Open next. Winning her first title will surely give her a good boost in confidence which can lead to a possible qualification in the Wimbledon. Boulter has been presented with a chance she would not want to miss at all.
