Ajla Tomljanovic, who was eliminated in the tournament in the second round, stuck around for the championship and was seen watching the match in which her cousin’s boyfriend played. 

Tomljanovic dated Matteo Berrettini for three years before they eventually split apart in February 2023. Their split shocked the fans as their relationship also created a bond between Félix Auger-Aliassime and Berrettini.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is currently facing Daniil Medvedev in the Australian Open and is struggling to find his second wind. The third set is about to conclude, and Medvedev is aiming to take the match. Although Auger-Aliassime is facing possible elimination, his supporters are not dying down. He is being supported by his girlfriend, Nina Ghaibi, and her cousin, Ajla Tomljanovic.

The Australian player is cheering for the boyfriend of her cousin as he is aiming to extend the match with each point. Interestingly, Tomljanovic’s relationship created a bond between Aliassime and Berrettini, as the two stars would hang out with their partners before the Australian and the Italian players split. 

The four have shared several posts on their social media pages that show them being together for trips or hanging out in general. Aliassime, who has been dating Ghaibi since 2019, revealed the fact that his girlfriend was a cousin of Tomljanovic in 2021.

Due to the formation of the small group, Berrettini and Aliassime developed a bond with each other. Aside from them, Tomljanovic also spent quality time with the 23-year-old and they also formed a friendship between them. Although Tomljanovic and Berrettini have split, their friendship with the Canadian star has continued.

This was witnessed in the clash between Aliassime and Medvedev as the Australian player was in the stands to support her cousin’s boyfriend. She is hoping for a turnaround as well.
