In the past few months, the tennis world had to deal with multiple heartbreaks. First, it was Serena Williams who dropped the bombshell. Later, Roger Federer also broke the heart of his fans when he finally knelt down to his pestering knee injury. With Maria Sharapova retiring in 2020, women’s tennis is in a completely different era now.
As the fans brace themselves for the new dawn, they can’t help but remember the glorious old days with nostalgic pictures and videos. One such picture resurfaced on social media recently. However, it is garnering negative reactions for a particular reason.

Any person with a slight bit of tennis knowledge will single out the best tennis players of the modern era. However, fans were not happy with Serena standing in the back row, while Eugenie Bouchard stood in front. Bouchard has made a name for herself as one of the most beautiful tennis players. The former Wimbledon finalist is still to achieve something substantial in her tennis career, though. Visibly, the fans were angry as Serena, being one of the biggest players, had to stand in the back row.

Although it is a great picture, fans are fighting over the relevance of pretty-looking faces in there with the legends. While Maria Sharapova is great herself and deserves to be there, placing her ahead of 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams was questionable. The fans completely lost it when they saw Eugenie Bouchard standing in the first row. As many fans believe that the Canadian tennis star was not good enough to fit inside the legendary frame.

A few fans were unhappy with the exclusion of Novak Djokovic, while a few appreciated it as well. However, we can easily draw a clear line between the two types of fans.
