Caroline Wozniacki and Serena Williams will face off in 2021

Wozniacki last played at the 2020 Australian Open, where she bowed out in the R32 against Ons Jabeur. The match against Serena Williams was supposed to be her last ever, but tennis fans will now get to see these two in action next year!

As mentioned, Caroline Wozniacki has postponed the event to 2021, and she recently released a video to confirm the announcement. The 2018 Australian Open champion conversed in Danish, and her management agency ‘f Sports Group ApS’ released the video on Instagram.

A final date is yet to be set, but Wozniacki appeared in the video to let out the cheerful news that she’ll be playing against Serena Williams in 2021! Here’s how the caption reads when translated from Danish to English:

“It is a huge puzzle that must go up in a higher unit, but we can assure you that we will continue to work at high pressure to be able to announce a date in the near future… As promised, all ticket buyers will again have the opportunity to have their tickets refunded when announcing a new date. Of course, we hope that as many as possible continue to want to pay tribute to two of the world’s biggest sports stars.”
