Now after a year of leave, Raducanu has set foot in Auckland to amaze her fans with mindblowing tennis performance in the upcoming season.

Raducanu played just five matches this season. Her last match at the Stuttgart Open wasn’t a very successful one as Jelena Ostapenko defeated her in the opening round. After that, fans heard about Raducanu’s surgery, which let her stay off the court for the rest of the year. Now following an impressive statement, Emma Raducanu seems to set the court on fire once again.

This British tennis star recently revealed her current mental state as she is going to play professional tournaments after a year almost. In a press conference, Raducanu said- “Yeah I feel reborn in a way, I feel fresh, I feel ready, I feel happy. I feel excited. So, overall, I’m feeling very positive and lighter. I think that for two years after the US Open, maybe a bit more like weight on my shoulders, but now I feel like completely fresh.” 

Raducanu’s comment expressed great satisfaction about her return to the professional court. It seemed like the tennis star was eagerly waiting to recover from her surgery so that she could again entertain fans with her great tennis skills.

ASB Classic is one of the premier tennis tournaments in New Zealand. The upcoming championship will take place from the 1st of January to the 13th of January in Auckland. Played on the outdoor hard courts, this tournament is a joint championship of both men’s and women’s tennis. While the women’s matches will start on the 1st of Jan and will continue till the 7th. However, the men’s matches will start from 8th January to 13th January.
