Badosa had also joined her friend in wearing an all-black outfit, which made fans think that she was also joining her close friend in mourning Koltsov. However, the Spaniard cleared the air on the matter soon. 

Sabalenka walked out to the stadium in a black tank and a black skirt, which were contrasted by Nike’s white tick logo. During the match, fans kept many fans believed she was in mourning. One fan said that the two friends wore black in mourning.

Another user talked about the ‘subtle yet powerful’ gesture of the Belarusian beauty as she wore a black outfit to mourn the loss of her daughter.

As she sat down for a post-match interview after losing to Sabalenka in straight sets, Badosa was asked if she and her friend coordinated the outfit in mourning. The Spaniard replied, “No, no, not at all. It was a coincidence. Nike’s outfit.”

The match between the two players began with a dominant show from Sabalenka, which continued in the second set. The Belarusian beauty ended up winning the bout 6-4, 6-3, and will move on to play against Anhelina Kalinina. Badosa had initially said that she was talking to her throughout the entire process and felt uncomfortable facing her but respected her decision to compete.

Despite the loss weighing heavy on her mind, Saba managed to defeat Badosa and move on to the next round. How will she fare against Kalinina?
