Elena Rybakina is a woman of her words. In April, when she began her car collection with a brand-new Porsche in Stuttgart, the fraternity was intrigued whether she would ever drive it herself, given that she didn’t have a driver’s license. However, things have changed ever since, and the Kazakh player is now just one step away from obtaining her license. As she showcases her multitalented personality, she continues to prove that she hardly fails to fulfill her goals.
Rybakina is trying out her skill at new tasks. This Kazakh player previously admitted that she has no driving license. When Rybakina won the 2024 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix title, the main question that popped up in the media was what she would do with Porsche’s exclusive four-wheeler that she was offered alongside her trophy. When asked, the WTA star said, “Well guys, I actually don’t have a driver’s license, so …” However, the Kazakh player has finally brought an end to this question showcasing that she knows how to master other skills alongside tennis.
In a recent video on X, the WTA star was spotted sitting on a driver’s seat and moving the steering while in a car. She then promoted her driving school, Galadari Motor Driving Centre. “Hello, I am Elena Rybakina and I just joined Galadari Driving School and really happy to join and practice. I have very strict instructor but it was a very nice experience and looking forward for my exam tomorrow,” she said in the video. Her statement revealed that she might soon be driving her Porsche in style.

When Rybakina dethroned Swiatek at the 2024 Porsche Grand Prix semifinals, she jokingly said in a post-match press conference, “I want one already for a long time, so that’s going to be a big motivation.” Rybakina’s words echoed that she might have planned to acquire this skill much before and winning a lavish Porsche just fuelled her motivation.
However, Rybakina had a couple of driving lessons previously. It is just she didn’t have the authorized permission to drive a car. However, this year when she won that Porsche, she expressed a direct wish that she would finally do it.

Elena Rybakina revealed her one goal for the off-season
While performing at the 2024 Porsche Grand Prix title, Rybakina revealed that if she won the Porsche, her car would have been driven by her former coach Stefano Vukov, and her mother Ekaterina Rybakina. However, she revealed her keen wish to learn to drive this off-season. “I wanted to do it already long time, but I never have chance to be at one place for long, “I did already couple of lessons. I was driving, but yeah, for sure [getting her license] that’s the goal for this year outside of the court. And with this car, if I win, it’s going to be one double goal. Hopefully, I finish it this year,” she concluded. Her words proved her determination. “Hopefully me soon,” grinned Rybakina with a motivation that she would soon be behinds the wheels.
Elena Rybakina’s driving lesson showcases her joy of doing something new. More than that, it shows her commitment to her objectives. Despite her hectic schedule, she chose to learn a new skill while the majority of players were enjoying the off-season vacation. Her resilience and spirit surely deserve applause.
