Chris Evert made a name for herself in tennis through her illustrious career. However, that is not her sole interest. The retired tennis player is a huge golf fan as well. So, to express her love for the sport, she once hailed the golf Masters tournament in 2019. However, Judy Murray, the mother of Andy Murray, had a hilarious George Clooney reference for Evert’s tribute.

This was in response to the Evert fan-girling over The Masters tournament. Consequently, it derived a hearty laugh from the fans.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion Chris Evert is an avid golf fan, and she likes following the sport ardently. So, in 2019, Evert was extremely excited about her favorite golf tournament, the Masters. Praising it, she tweeted, “Is there anything more beautiful on TV than the @TheMasters?” Getting a negative reply would not have shocked her as much as Andy Murray’s mother’s reply did.

Judy Murray hilariously replied, “George Clooney?,” hailing the renowned American actor. This derived equally entertaining replies from the fans who appreciated the humor.
Well, tennis fans are not sure about both The Masters and George Clooney. However, watching Chris Evert play was an absolute delight for the spectators. At present, it is equally exciting to watch Andy Murray play too.

How has 2022 turned out for Andy Murray?
The three-time Grand Slam champion had a relatively better year in 2022. He climbed the rankings and landed in the Top 50 after languishing at 134. He is currently at 46 in the ATP rankings.
