Alexis Ohanian nowadays is on a streak where he keeps on getting humbled by his daughter and wife repeatedly. He always knew that athletics is not his forte. However, when he started with golf, he hoped for a head start. But things have come out to be more disheartening than he anticipated them to be. So, now he is getting ambitious and wants to put in more work secretively so that he has a chance against Serena Williams and Olympia.

Both Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian recently became the co-founders of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL’s first golf team, Los Angeles Golf Club. As he is stepping into the realm of golf, Ohanian is trying to perfect his skills. But, unfortunately, the rest of the Ohanian has been overtaking him when it comes mastering the sport.

Serena Williams makes Alexis Ohanian embrace his competitive self 

The Reddit co-founder is quite aware of his sporting skills, but this time he is not ready to take a back seat. Golf is something that he wishes to be better at than his wife.

In a video where he talked to the camera, he let out his inner thoughts. Starting with his daughter, stated, “I think Serena would agree Olympia has tremendous golf swing, given her age.” 

Ohanian loved the idea of spending date nights with Williams because of TGL. Therefore, they ended up taking these golf lessons together. To make things even more romantic, Ohanian loved having dinner dates after these lessons with her.

However, it sort of backfired because Williams turned out to be much better than him at golf. He stated, “I also thought that she had never really played golf, I thought we’d start out at roughly the same level. I was mistaken.” This is not the first time he has expressed his grounding experience of playing with his wife.

He added, “That was both humbling and frustrating as a competitor that she was already pretty much a natural.” Then he sarcastically added, “This would shock a lot of people but she’s got a better golf swing. Apparently, it’s a lot like a backhand in tennis, so not fun.”

In a previous tweet, he expressed how even Olympia was better than him at golf. Though they all started as beginners, Ohanian has lagged behind due to a lack of athletic genes. Nonetheless, he is ready to take up a challenge once again.

Ohanian is all geared up to defeat Williams

The Reddit co-founder has commendable resilience. That is why he is planning to go against his wife Williams, knowing what sort of experience she has.

He stated, “I am just gonna start taking lessons. Don’t let her know.” So, now he is on a mission to try to make the impossible possible.

But given Williams’ experience in swinging striking shots across the court, Ohanian will have to do a bit more than just taking extra lessons to even come out as a challenge for her.
