However, Evert’s personal life wasn’t as stable as her tennis career. She has been married and divorced thrice. Her marriage to golfer Greg Norman had become somewhat of a controversy. Norman’s ex-wife, Laura Andrassy, had launched some comments on Evert at the time that could come off as hostile.

She said that she thought that Andrassy’s words were first coming from a place of pain. But she was later disheartened to learn that the former flight attendant just wanted to attack the couple.

2009 saw Chris Evert’s third marriage ending in a divorce. The two were unable to work out their differences and eventually split 15 months after their marriage. Andrassy was not shy about commenting on their divorce either. To her, it came as no surprise. It was a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ for Andrassy.
