Chris Evert had her fair share of fame, both on and off the court, during her heyday on the WTA Tour. She became one of the legendary players in the sport while garnering a lot of attention due to her romantic relationships with several renowned stars over the years. From her highly publicized relationship with Jimmy Connors to her latest marriage with Greg Norman, all of her relationships were with highly renowned stars in the sporting world. When she married her second husband, Andy Mill, everyone thought Evert had found her true love. But that did not last, as she ended up marrying former golfer Greg Norman in 2008.

However, before tying the knot with the 18-time Grand Slam champion, Norman had to divorce his then-wife, Laura Andrassy. At the end of the legal proceedings, Laura walked away with a massive $100 million dollar settlement from Norman. After their high-profile engagement, Evert and Normal talked about the settlement in an interview in 2008.

Evert divorced Andy Mill in 2006, and after two years, got married to Greg Norman. At that point, she did not know how it was going to pan out. So, during an interview in 2008, she and Norman expressed their views over his ex-wife, Laura Andrassy. Evert said, “Everybody gets hurt and I think everybody has moved on, except for one person. I think we would love to see Laura move on.”
Furthermore, she said, “You know you hope that time heals all wounds and to find some peace and go forward.” With a subtle dig, she said, “If you have too much time on your hands to criticize people, then you must not be finding something in your life that you love to do.”
When the host asked the former pro golfer, Greg Norman about his $100 million settlement, he stated, “It’s the price you pay for freedom. It’s a fair deal for both and done.”
Although the question of whether it was a fair deal or not is not ours to decide, what we do know is that Evert did not get to live the life that she might have expected when she married Norman. Her marriage with the former golfer ended in 15 months. Over the years, she married John Lloyd, Andy Mill, and Greg Norman. However, all three of her marriages ended in heartbreak and divorce.
