The collaboration has unified the commercial businesses of LIV Golf, DP World Tour, and the PGA Tour. The new company that will arise from the mammoth move still doesn’t have a name of its own. However, you can expect the official name of the new entity to be revealed soon.

The sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, PIP, is in charge of driving the entity’s global expansion. So far, it has poured in astronomical sums of money. This amounts to several billions to guarantee the entity’s long-term success. However, the decision has generated substantial controversy as well owing to the PGA Tour’s seemingly sudden U-turn. For a long time, it criticized the LIV Golf tour for its ties with Saudi Arabia. However, now that the criticism seems to have been shelved, it looks like the beginning of a new era for the world of golf.
