The elder Venus Williams recently revealed the common inside joke that she now also shares with her retired sister, Serena Williams. It still makes them laugh and also motivated them at the same time. 

Both the Williams sisters have always kept their focus on winning at the highest level. They always strive for victory on and off the tennis court. Not only that, but they also overcame a lot of hurdles and barriers to create a change and carried the champion’s attitude for over two decades now. 

Venus told the joke she often shares with Serena Williams 

The former world number one recently posted a video on her YouTube channel. In that, she talked candidly about motivation, and how the little things in life always served as inspiration for her and her sister. And while talking about the same, she detailed a common joke she always shares with the 23-time Grand Slam champion. 

She said, “Serena and I used to always joke that in tennis we would say carry me off in the stretcher but I’m going to do what it takes to win and we would always say that we were on a stretcher and we’d be like doing the peace sign right before we expired but whatever it took and that’s the attitude you got to have in life.”
