Her norm-breaking actions, such as advocating the importance of mental health in an otherwise result-driven sport, make her stand out. Also, Osaka doesn’t believe in tying herself to just tennis. She takes interest in exploring other arenas and that is why she gets recognition and admiration from non-fans as well. Speaking of which, here are the details of her latest off-tennis expedition.

Naomi Osaka about founding Hana Kuma

Osaka recently alongside NBA legend, LeBron James, and her longtime agent and business partner, Stuart Duguid, launched her production company, Hana Kuma. “For me, I always wanted to test new water like I am a very challenging person. The harder something seems, the more I want to attempt to do it.” She confessed while talking about the reason behind choosing something so different from her profession.

Thereafter the former world no.1 added. “There aren’t many female athletes to do such a thing. Like say someone at least paved that way then I am kinda like, okay it’s already there. Also, I feel like I have a unique perspective.”

She faced severe backlash for the same. Even so, she stayed stern in her decision and returned when her heart permitted.
