Her current run in the US Open is her best one so far, as she has reached the semifinal of the championship for the first time in her career. The support of her millions of fans around the world has reached a major fan in one of her idols.

Gauff is being cheered on by none other than Jimmy Butler, who is a prime player for the Miami Heat. He recently shared a video on his Instagram story where he is watching Gauff’s match, where she won her bout against Jelena Ostapenko, in his personal theater. The 19-year-old was over the moon witnessing the setup and reshared the video on her Instagram story. She also added the caption, “😂🙏the movie theater setup is hilarious“.

Butler expressed his ecstasy at her win and cheered for her. Gauff was over the moon, given her idol’s happiness for her. The Tennis star also has a friend in Butler after their positive interactions in the recent past.

Gauff couldn’t attend playoffs due to the Roland Garros. In reply, Butler told her that she could ask for tickets for herself and her family when they reached the final. He held true to his words as he and the Heat played the finals but unfortunately lost the battle against the Denver Nuggets. His words resonated with Gauff as his confident words came true, and the two are now big fans of each other.
