Osaka founded her production company in 2022. Ever since then, she has worked hard to take the production firm to great heights. To successfully expand further, she drew inspiration from the success of LeBron James‘ off-court ventures.

Naomi Osaka announces new upcoming project

After her efforts on many off-court ventures, Osaka finally has something to show her followers. The first-time mother had high standards in her mind and raised commendable investments for Hana Kuma, her production company. With the investments of many stars around the world, Hana Kuma has finally started churning out projects.

Hana Kuma recently announced their short film, Foot Steps. As per their Instagram post, the film will focus on the power of having a blueprint and how it can lead young people in today’s age. The story is set in a time of political instability and how soccer inspired a young girl to go beyond her limits. The synopsis further reads, “Jornadie, a Haitian young woman, is a GOALS soccer player in training who ambitiously waits for her favorite athlete and cousin, Esthericove Joseph, to take the world stage. Esthericove is a member of Haiti’s women league that’s playing in the World Cup for the 1st time in history. At a time where Haiti needs some positive news, these players ARE Jornadie’s blueprint“.

Osaka also shared the announcement of the short film on her Instagram story. They made the film in collaboration with GOALS Haiti, an organization that uses soccer to empower underprivileged youth. The initiative has successfully helped many young women realize their dreams of playing for their country and at national levels. Artists Institute Haiti also helped in the creation of Foot Steps.

Osaka and Hana Kuma have been able to create this movie due to successful rounds of investments by many stars. Of them, is also an immensely popular NBA legend.

NBA legend helps raise immense funds for Hana Kuma

The biggest investment came from none other than LeBron James, who invested $2 million in the production company. Osaka was on cloud nine at the news of the investment as she took major inspiration from the NBA star.
