Ohanian recently opened up about the one thing that he refused to do while he was still in the nascent stages of his entrepreneurial career. 

After co-founding Reddit, the ‘Mayor of the Internet’ has established his presence in other fields like capital investment and sports investment, and is currently worth more than $40 million. Being one of the active users of social media, he took to Twitter to give a glimpse of the initial stages of his career in the entrepreneurial sector.

Serena Williams‘ husband recently turned to his Twitter account to convey his views on seeing his business peers change the way their views to the tune of powerful people with “status/influence”.

He tweeted, “17 years into my career + I’m still learning how much people will change/compromise their views to support industry peers with status/influence. Not doing this more probably hurt my career in some short-term ways, but I remind myself that I’m playing long-term games.”

The co-founder of Reddit claims that despite approaching two decades in the tech industry, he is still learning about how powerful people change others’ views through position and influence. He also opened how not bending to the whims and fancies of influential people might have slowed down his growth in the initial stages.

Before he became a father in 2017, the American businessman was totally committed to his work. The ‘Mayor of the Internet’ has since vowed to set a good example for his daughter and wants her to witness him creating a new world.
