After a successful 2022 season, American tennis star Coco Gauff is ready for the next season. The 18-year-old enjoyed her break and relaxed with her family after completing this year’s schedule. She visited her Delray Beach home and also attended football matches to have fun before the hard work begins again.

Now it is time for the American to bring her focus back to tennis. As there’s not much time left for the upcoming season, Gauff is ready to start her preseason training.

Coco Gauff begins her preseason training for the 2023 season

Gauff had an amazing year. She made it to the final of the French Open and the quarterfinal of the US Open. After performing consistently, the 18-year-old also made it to her first year-end WTA Finals. Although her form faltered in the end, the world number seven didn’t compromise on her post-season break.

However, after relaxing for a bit, the American is ready to roar again. Gauff recently shared a tweet informing her fans about the start of her preseason training.

“first official day of preseason and lol it’s gonna be a longgggg but good one,” she wrote.

At the end of her season, Gauff suffered five straight losses. Three of these were in the group stage of the WTA Finals. While her overall performance has been great, the American would like to utilize the time to iron out the issues and make a strong start to the upcoming season.

Gauff is pretty vocal about social issues

How often have we seen an 18-year-old tennis player speaking about pressing issues in society? American rising star Coco Gauff is definitely one of that kind. At such a young age, she understands the responsibility that she shoulders. She has time and again spoken about the pressing issues and challenges in the US.

Speaking about her activism, the 18-year-old said that it is something she learned from her father.

The American further said that she knows it is not going to change the world, but she believes that tennis has provided her with a platform with a broader reach and she wants to use it wisely.
