American tennis star Coco Gauff is making rapid strides in her career. At just 18, she became the youngest tennis player after Maria Sharapova to qualify for the WTA Finals. However, she had a forgettable outing during the tournament. The 18-year-old is now back home at Delray Beach.

After an exhausting season, Gauff is back home with a gift for her hometown. The world number 7 has gifted her iconic 2019 Wimbledon uniform to her hometown, Delray Beach.

Coming from a small town in Southern Florida, Gauff made a big impact on her first Wimbledon outing. She defeated the legendary Venus Williams, when she was just 15. This moment was iconic for the city as people flocked in front of their TV screens to watch Gauff.

Now that she has returned home after a long season, Gauff‘s iconic Wimbledon jersey was unveiled in her city. Here’s what Gauff said about returning home: “Everyone’s like, Where are you going for vacation? And I’m like, I’m here at home. So, that’s my vacation, and I have a great time here in South Florida and especially in Delray.”

She further added, “I’ll always rep Delray Beach, so thank you,”

It’s always a great feeling to return home after an achievement. Hopefully, the 18-year-old will keep giving moments to cherish for the people of Delray Beach.

A young fan’s mother calls out Coco Gauff for her behavior

Coco Gauff had a disastrous WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas. The 18-year-old could not win even a single set in three of her WTA Finals group stage matches. The situation was definitely not good for the American, and she was visibly disappointed with her own performance.

However, a young fan who idolized Gauff was eager to get an autograph from her. At the first attempt, she could not get the sign from Gauff. The next day her mother bought front-row tickets and the little fan had a sign asking Gauff for an autograph. However, the 18-year-old didn’t sign any autograph after disappointing performance.

This devastated the young fan and her mother took to Twitter and called out the 18-year-old for ignoring her adoring fans. The post went viral on the internet and people empathized with the little girl.
