It is fair to say that Serena Williams, the American tennis legend, shares a strong bond with her sisters. Whether it was her stepsisters who had long adored the tennis player or Venus Williams, who shared her enthusiasm for sports, her love for her siblings is second to none. This was particularly evidenced when the retired tennis ace recently shared a heartfelt note.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion is having a great time with her family and friends and managing numerous business ventures after stepping away from tennis. Despite managing multiple business ventures, Serena always gives priority to spending time and making core memories with her family.

Serena Williams calls herself the annoying one among her siblings

Serena, along with her elder sister Venus Williams and her stepsister Lyndrea Price, recently shared a set of photos from opening event of the National Potrait Gallery in Washington. The 23-time Grand Slam champion has always been upfront about her close relationship with her sisters, and she shared an emotional message on Instagram.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion captioned the series of pictures, “Sisters. I Love having sisters. I was fortunate enough to have 4. Now 3…. I have grown and learned to love and cherish every moment with them. As you can tell clearly, I am the brat. And life long friend and honorary dad Larry Bailey.” The former world number one also shared pictures separately with her sisters, showcasing her love for them.

In addition, but the 6-time US Open champion admitted that she was the most troublesome sibling, as she was the youngest. The tennis legend, however, didn’t forget to mention her late sister who passed away in 2003 in a shooting incident. Furthermore, she also mockingly referred to her longtime pal Larry Bailey as her father.

Serena and Venus’ bond on the court

Both Serena and Venus have been a part of the sport since their early teenage years. Having spend almost their entire formative years in tennis together, the sisters built an unbreakable bond that withstood years of rivalry on the WTA Tour.
