Venus and Serena Williams carry the name of women’s tennis owing to their glorious careers on the court. Venus Williams talked about being on a team with her young sister and how her presence became an inseparable part of her life.

The Williams sisters might have excelled individually in their careers but their roots and support for each other have always been mutual. The players have come together as a team for doubles matches too and have shown the world their supremacy when they are together.
Venus Williams on the influence of always being with Serena Williams
The seven-time grand slam champion opened up about growing up and always being together with Serena Williams. After being together for decades on the court, Venus finds her younger sister as an inseparable part of hers. She said, “No one knows more about what I’m going through than she does. She’s someone who understands me without even saying a word.”
This has helped the player in finding a company in the realm of an individual sport. Furthermore, she said, “I know that it’s unusual to have a sibling in sports, but it is the only experience I know so I can’t imagine not having one.”

Venus Williams’ admiration for the younger sibling
They have shared the courts many times in the past on various tours. But for Venus Williams, her favorite memories are from the Olympics. She said, “My favorite moments are probably the Olympics together.” She expressed her admiration for her sister and was in awe of her gameplay. Venus Williams has clinched four gold and one silver in the singles category at the Olympics.

She said, “She’s been my role model.” The two players have got on the same side of the court to clinch victory 14 times on major tours.
