42-Year-Old Venus Williams All Set to Launch a Whopping $5,000,000 Event for a Noble Cause in Memory of Her Idol

Venus Williams, the American tennis icon, always had a great personality that extends beyond the confines of the court. The 42-year-old tennis legend has never been reluctant to use her platform to work for the interests of society. Now once again, the 7 singles Grand Slam champion has come forward for another noble endeavor as she is all set to co-host an online auction in order to save the late legendary American singer, Nina Simone’s legacy.

The main purpose of this event is to raise funds for the preservation of the house where the late singer grew up, according to an exclusive report. On top of that, Williams has also taken up the role of co-curator of the artworks in the auction. Here are all the details about the former Wimbledon champion’s fundraising endeavors.

The American tennis legend has collaborated with the renowned artist, Adam Pendleton as together they will host the fundraising event. In addition to a dinner gala, an online auction will be hosted at Pace Gallery’s 540 West 25th Street flagship in New York. The African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund is the main force behind this noble initiative for the legendary American singer, Nina Simone.

According to an exclusive report from The National Trust for Historic Preservation, the 7 singles Grand Slam champion is collaborating for the event in order to renovate Simone’s North Carolina property. It is the house where she grew up, and now the preservation projects aim to protect it.

Venus, who has already made her mark in the tennis realm, will now take up the role of organizing the artworks in the auction that will be held at  Manhattan’s Pace Gallery in New York. Speaking of the same in a press release, the WTA legend said, “I’m so excited to be a part of this expansive project centering on the life and legacy of Nina Simon”

Venus’ other noble endeavors for the society

Apart from being a great athlete in the tennis community, the 42-year-old has also established herself as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the industry. While keeping up with her business projects for her fashion brand, EleVen, Williams is also using that platform to empower women.

Venus started her own brand with the sole purpose of creating a community to empower women’s position in society. With her fashion line, her business ventures, and other endeavors, she wants to inspire them to fight for their rights.
