American tennis legend Venus Williams is in her forties now. Despite her advancing age, the seven-time Grand Slam champion has still kept herself super fit. At 42, she is still active in professional tennis. Apart from tennis, the former world number one has now decided to use her expertise in fitness and nutrition to help others as well.

Recently, the American launched her own nutrition company with big names like Serena Williams and Kevin Durant as her investors.

Venus partners with Serena, Durant and others to launch her plant-based superfood nutrition company

Venus Williams is a fitness and nutrition enthusiast. When Venus decided to share her expertise with people, her sister Serena and popular NBA star Kevin Durant also joined in as investors. Together they have raised $2 million in an investment round for the Happy Viking. The Medal of Freedom recipient, Megan Rapinoe, also joined them later. The list of athletes joining Venus keeps increasing with time.

Speaking about the idea, Venus said, “When I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, I became obsessed with doing research and exploring superfood ingredients that helped with my recovery.” She further added, “I’ve seen firsthand what the benefits of adopting a plant-based diet has done for my body and performance. With Happy Viking, I want to give everyone the opportunity to be healthy, feel good, and live their dreams.”

Taking to the Instagram account of her brand ‘EleVen by Venus,’ the 42-year-old had a question-answer session with her fans. During the session, she gave a few insightful tips to budding tennis enthusiasts. However, there was a completely out-of-context question that Venus had fun answering. It was about her choice of players to go on a camping trip.

Answering the question, Venus jokingly said that she would love to stay at home with good plumbing facilities. Further, she named four tennis players to accompany her on the camping trip; Serena Williams, American tennis star Reilly Opelka, Serena’s best friends Caroline Wozniacki and Grigor Dimitrov.
