Venus keeps the suspense alive?

A few hours ago, Venus Williams posted an Instagram story on her fashion brand “EleVen by Venus” account. Replying to a fan?s question, “Who is your ideal mixed doubles partner and opponent pair?”, Venus responded with a photo of herself and Serena. She added, “I only play doubles with this one. So unless she’s coming back?.”?

Venus and Serena Williams were the top tennis players for more than twenty years on the WTA Tour. Be it playing with or against each other, the sisters have awed fans every time. Venus has 49 singles titles to her name and Serena has 73, but nothing can beat the 22 titles they have won playing doubles together.

At the US Open this year, Serena got all teary-eyed when she said, “..wouldn’t be Serena if there wasn’t Venus…she is the only reason that Serena Williams ever existed”.

Since they played each other in the Australian Open for the first time in 1998 to winning three Olympic gold medals together,?it has been impossible to talk about one sister without mentioning the other.?

Is there a chance of a comeback for Serena Williams??

Possibly, yes. Recently, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was seen hinting at a potential comeback on Instagram. Fans have been trying to get more out of her Instagram story that said: “Little bored” with a picture of her racquet. Although the tennis legend announced that she would stop playing after this year’s US Open to focus on other essential matters, this mysterious message on her Instagram story has left fans on edge again.

In her retirement essay, Serena said, ?I have never liked the word retirement. It doesn?t feel like a modern word to me. I?ve been thinking of this as a transition, but I want to be sensitive about how I use that word, which means something very specific and important to a community of people“.

Since then, she has taunted fans with a possible comeback on several occasions.
