Recently, Williams featured in an advertisement campaign. It was for the innerwear of the company Berlei. In the clip, Serena mentioned a key aspect that provided her comfort during matches. 

“A bra can’t help you win 23 Grand Slams, but a good one can support you through it. No, but I’ve worn Berlei every time, that tells you something, right?”

Coming to tennis, Serena has not competed since she withdrew from the opening round match at the Wimbledon Championships last year. Sadly, she sprained her ankle during the opening stages and was left with no option but to opt out of the match.

Serena and Venus missed the last two Grand Slam tournaments 

Post that, she gave the US Open a miss as she was dealing with a hamstring injury. However, there was plenty of cheer off the court. ‘King Richard, a movie based on their early life was release and it made the world realize how Richard Williams and Oracene were instrumental in shaping up Venus and Serena from a very young age.

Reflecting on the current season, both sisters skipped the Australian Open too. However, they do intend to come back soon this year. We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them on the courts once again.
