In addition to their illustrious journey on the tennis court, the book titled, ‘The rivals,’ has also depicted their extraordinary friendship. The book came out in 2004 but it has still caught the attention of many tennis enthusiasts. A slew of fans has been quite astonished to witness how American tennis greats have always respected and admired each other despite being fierce rivals on the court.
One such heartfelt incident has been perfectly depicted in their book. The former Czech–American tennis player hailed Evert by saying, “Chris was like a perfect blond goddess who was challenging Billie Jean King and Virginia Wade.”

She added, “Before I even met her, she stood for everything I admired about this country”, which includes Evert’s great personality and sportsmanship.
