While she made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament, she celebrated her birthday in her own country, making it even more special for her. Following her birthday celebrations, Coco Gauff recently sent a meaningful message on her Instagram account, signifying a turning point in her life.

The 20-year-old tennis star posted a message of thanksgiving with a picture of herself relaxing on the beach, expressing her thankfulness for all the blessings she has experienced as she enters adulthood. Along with that, she wrote, “20! just a pisces in her natural habitat 🌊 i’ve been beyond blessed in this life and I am so thankful to have made it this far. thank you everyone for all of the bday wishes.” 

She welcomed the chances and challenges that lie ahead in her post, as well as her reflections on leaving her adolescent years behind. She stated, “Yeah, it’s not like a huge milestone, you said, in the U.S., just turning another age. Yeah, no, a lot of people don’t really think about it being not a teenager anymore. I think 21 is more the bigger age for more Americans. Yeah, I haven’t really put too much thought in it.” Along with sharing a perspective of Americans, regarding birthdays, she also hinted about how her next birthday will be more special for her.
