

Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka is going through a form slump right now. After pulling out of the French Open last year, the 24-year-old has not looked like her past self. Over the last few months, she has not advanced beyond the initial rounds of tournaments she has participated in. Further, the former world number one faced multiple injury issues as well.

Osaka is facing criticism for her poor performance recent. However, the Japanese are fortunate to have her boyfriend Cordae by her side. The couple has kept their relationship quiet and simple. Osaka’s rapper boyfriend once revealed the reason for keeping their relationship a secret for a long time.
Why did Osaka and Cordae keep their relationship a secret?
In an interview last year, Rap star Cordae revealed the reason he and Osaka didn’t reveal much about their relationship. “We were dating for almost a year before people knew about us. So we kind of move very reclusively. We don’t really post intimate moments, because I feel as though they’re sacred.” Cordae said. He further added, “A relationship is really a sacred thing. Once you let outside influences get into it, it becomes less sacred.”
Cordae was previously a part of the hip-hop collective YBN. Recently, after the collective was disbanded, the American rapper released his second album ‘From a Birds Eye View.’
Both Osaka and Cordae have kept their relationship very private, that there were even rumors afloat about their possible breakup. However, the duo quashed it all in style. Osaka uploaded a picture of herself and Cordae looking at her mobile screen with the caption, “Us looking at Twitter yesterday.”

Naomi Osaka pulls out of the Pan Pacific Open
Naomi Osaka’s troubles don’t seem to end soon. The four-time Grand Slam champion was in Japan, taking part in the Pan Pacific Open. She had advanced to the second round after her first-round opponent retired mid-match because of an injury.

Up next, Osaka was going to face Beatriz Haddad Maia. However, the 24-year-old withdrew before the match. The former world number 1 revealed that she was suffering from abdominal pain and won’t be able to play the match.
