Over the years, Serena has rightly succeeded in having a loyal fan base. A fan base that clearly has a no-nonsense attitude towards their favorite player. Learning about the unfair criticism from the Twitter user, a fan promptly came to rescue of the 23-time Grand Slam champion.
Quoting the Tweet, he wrote, “People this ignorant shouldn’t be allowed to use the internet. Apparently this woman has forgotten her 2017 Australian Open win, not to mention the fact that she is now OVER 40! Absolutely id**tic sentiment. What has she ever done? Don’t worry, I’ll wait..

The woman being slammed apparently wrote, “Let’s be honest here you are retiring because you just aren’t as good as you used to be. Ever since you lost the Calendar grand slam back in 2015 you just haven’t been the same. I’m so happy that Serena is retiring I’m so tired of her playing the victim.”

While Serena slammed the Twitter user in a graceful tone, this hasn’t always been the case. Going back in time, to 2015, Serena was soaring heights in her career. The American sensation won 3 majors, and 2 Masters tournaments to finish the year as World No.1. However, that didn’t stop trolls from sending jibes aimed at her muscular build.
